| TKO Premier Philosophy TKO Premier is committed to developing well-rounded players and coaches. Our goal is to give every player the skills and attitude needed to be a colligate soccer player and beyond. Our players are trained using positive activities with a focus on individual and small group instruction. Each player in the TKO Premier club receives equal attention, focus and coaching. Also, TKO Premier will use the athletic environment to teach and reenforce life long values like sportsmanship, dedication and teamwork.
What do you get from TKO Premier? TKO Premier will focus on technical development of the athlete at every level. The Academy program runs from U9-U12 and competes locally in WMYSA. The primary focus to our Academy players is cultivating a passion for the game while laying foundations through excellent technical training. Our Premier program is the next level, U13-U18, where we continue to develop technical skills and introduce the players to a more competitive environment of play. Teams play against the best in the state and region in the MSPSL or MRL leagues. The Super Y program offers players, U13-U20 a chance to continue their play throughout the summer at an even higher level. This is a Midwest all-star league within the Olympic Development Program. The pinnacle of development is the PDL and W League teams which offer collegiate players a place to play in their off seasons as they move toward the professional game.
How does TKO Premier deliver? TKO Premier is very serious about he development of players and coaches. All coaches are top level and licensed with the United States Soccer Federation and/or the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Continued education is encouraged and subsidized for all coaches. TKO also employs a Technical Director to oversee all of the player and coaching development as well as an Academy Director to focus on the technical development of our Academy players. All players develop through: 2 training sessions/week at Kalamazoo Soccer Complex, a 10 week winter training program, multiple player evaluations and support through the college recruitment process among other club learning experiences.
Winter Training Program TKO believes that every committed player should receive ample opportunity to develop their skills. As part of this commitment TKO offers an all-inclusive winter training program built into their affordable player fees.
Included:
- Team/pool training by each team’s head coach in addition to academy and technical director (10 session minimum)
- Speed and strength training by certified trainers (H.S. age groups).
- Futsal, a Brazilian version of indoor soccer that uses a weighted ball for added technical skill, is integrated into many training sessions.
TKO Premier’s winter program allows for all players to develop at a much faster rate
