Academy Winter Training - Schedule Change

TKO Academy training that takes place on Monday and Wednesday has been moved to 5:30pm - 6:45pm. The Academy training schedule is now as follows:
Monday 5:30 - 6:45 all Girls' teams
Tuesday 5:00 - 6:10 u12 Boys blue, u11 Boys white, u11 Boys blue
Wednesday 5:30 - 6:45 u10 Boys white, u10 Boys blue, u9 Boys white, u9 Boys blue

Local Girls Gets Noticed at the KISS Tournament

On February 2, Taylor Nemeths will be signing to play soccer at Indiana Tech. Taylor played with TKO 3 years ago, and also guest played with Iowa and Ohio teams at the KISS Tournament that is sponsored by TKO. Congratulations to Taylor!

Congratulations to Outrage player Eric Alexander

The current Kalamazoo Outrage star and former Portage Central Mustang Eric Alexander, a senior at Indiana University, was the 44th overall selection in the MLS super draft on Thursday in Philadelphia. With the 12th pick of the third round FC Dallas selected the senior midfielder. Eric has spent the past two summers anchoring the midfield for the Kalamazoo Outrage playing in 17 games with 4 goals and 1 assist. “This is a big day for the Outrage and for Eric. Eric is a quality player and a great kid who will make Kalamazoo proud” said Outrage coach Mark Spooner. In an article on the IU soccer website, Eric stated “I am really excited to be heading to Dallas. I am happy I was selected and will now focus on preparing myself to go down there with a positive attitude and compete for a spot. I know they are a pretty good team and I am looking forward to the opportunity." Please join the Outrage staff in wishing Eric good luck as he starts his new adventure in the soccer world.

Super Y Tryout Information

January 10th
U17G 11-1230 on Field C at the Soccerzone in Portage
U14G 930-11am on Field C at the Soccerzone in Portage
U13B 8-930am on Field C at the Soccerzone in Portage
January 23rd
U13G 130-315pm on Field C at the Soccerzone in Portage

Super Y Reminder and Clarification

TKO is excited to be chosen to represent the USL and Super Y in Southwest Michigan. There were several criteria in making this decision and TKO's vision fit their qualifications the best.
Clarification:
TKO did meet with Kingdom this summer to review opportunities to work together. TKO agreed to a plan that benefited soccer and our kids in both programs on five topics that Kingdom outlined. Unfortunately the balance of topics were business related not benefiting players or community . Since a business case could not be made, Kingdom withdrew from these discussions.
We would encourage any player or licensed coach interested in the Super Y program to come to our tryouts and/or contact Rich Labadie for further information. You would be able to play/coach for the summer season and then return to your regular club in the fall. If you don't see your age group list on the tryouts schedule, please contact Rich Labadie @ rlaab2000@yahoo.com.

2010 Super Y League Tryouts Announced

TKO Premier Soccer Club is proud to announce that we will be the only club in the Kalamazoo area with Super Y status. This is a testament to TKO’s commitment to developing soccer in West Michigan. TKO Premier is also the only club in West Michigan to have a complete developmental pyramid from U9 through Senior Amateur play with both men’s and women’s.
This is a great opportunity for players from different clubs to play against some of the best competition in the midwest. We welcome players from TKO, Kingdom, PSC, KSC, ROSC, RASC, Force, SWM, Jaier, South Haven, Marauders, Battle Creek, Marshall, and Sturgis to tryout. We view this as a Southwest Michigan Super Y program playing under the TKO Flag, and not an income stream. Lets make this a true community effort!
Reduced Rate for 2010! $399 for the entire program, this includes training sessions, games, and uniforms.

Because of the involvement of one of our longtime coaches, Chase is donating $5 million to charities and we need your help to ensure the TKO Soccer Club benefits from this potential generous award!
Voting for the first round began Sunday, November 15, and will run through December 11th. On December 15th, the top 100 charities will be announced and win $25,000 each. A second round of voting of these top 100 will take place between January 15th and January 29th, with the winner netting $1 million and five runners-up receiving $100,000 on February 1st.
