Introducing the TKO Academy Juniors U7/U8 Program

TKO is excited to offer the Academy Juniors program for players in the U7 and U8 age groups. It is a six week program, training once a week on Thursdays, from 6:45 to 7:45. The program will start on Thursday, September 11th and run through October 16th. Trainings will be held next to Portage North Middle School, behind the Portage Northern varsity soccer field. There will also be scrimmage dates to play small-sided games with other area clubs. Todd Wells Named the All-Enquirer Girls Soccer Coach of the Year

Lakeview continued its dominance in the SMAC East conference, wrapping up another division title. The Spartans managed eight wins to just five losses, with only one of those defeats coming to a school not named Portage. For his team's stellar season, Todd Wells has been named the All-Enquirer Girls' Soccer Coach of the Year. Wells headlines this year's All-Enquirer Girls' Soccer Team, as selected by area coaches and the Enquirer sports staff. Also making the team is TKO's own Grace Labrecque and Nicole Bentz.

U9 Girls Academy Have a Great Season!

2008-09 TKO Tryouts a Great Success!

Thank you to all that participated in the TKO Tryouts this year. It was a very successful tryout season with many additions to the club.
TKO is still looking for players for our U13G and U14G teams. The 13G team will be playing as an Academy team and the U14G will play as a Premier team.
All interested players should attend a supplemental tryout being held on Monday June 23rd from 6-7:30 pm at Kalamazoo Soccer Complex.
Rob Allison will be coaching the U14G team

Congratulations to the Academy Teams!

TKO Premier Soccer Club would like to congratulate all of our Academy teams on a great spring performance. The Academy program went 40-14-8 in spring WMYSA play. Leading the way were the Boys U9, U10, U11, and the girls U9 teams that finished first in their division. The boys U10 and U11, coached by Neil Ridgway each finished the year at 16-0. This is awesome considering that this is only the first year of the TKO Academy program. Our players, coaches, and parents should be proud. Tryouts for the TKO Academy program are June 16th and 17th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm @ the Kalamazoo Soccer Complex.
Great job to everyone involved!

Outrageous Soccer Camps 2008

Outrageous Soccer Camps will feature the soccer stars of the Kalamazoo Outrage and Head Coach Stu Riddle. These players have a vast array of experience ranging from the English Premiership, Championship and Football League to the cream of US Colleges, and are relishing the opportunity to pass on their abilities and knowledge to the local community.
Camps are for both boys and girls and will run from 9.00am to 12 noon each day during the following weeks:
Camp # 1 June 16 - June 19 Striker/Goalkeeper Camp (Ages 7-20)
Camp # 2 June 23 - June 26 Soccer Specific Speed and Agility (Ages 7-20)
Camp # 3 June 30 - July 3 Recreational Player Camp (Ages 4-10)
Camp # 4 July 7 - July 10 Advanced Player Camp (Ages 11-20)

TKO Teams Compete at the Murray Cup!

Several TKO teams took the field over the weekend at the Murray Cup in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was an absolutely beautiful weekend for soccer. It was great to see a large number of TKO teams competing hard on the fields.

TKO U18 Boys Make State Cup Quarterfinals

The TKO U18 Boys, coached by Rich Labadie, have made it though to the State Cup quarterfinals. The boys finished 2-1 in pool play. They will play the Michigan Wolves Gold on 5/17 @ 10:00 am in Saginaw. This team currently plays in the Midwest Regional League (MRL). Great job guys!
